Origin & history
The Savannah is a recent breed born in the United States in the late 20th century from crossing a domestic cat with the serval, a wild feline from Africa. The first specimens, which appeared in the 1980s, gave rise to a large cat with a slender body, long legs and a spotted coat reminiscent of its wild ancestor. Depending on the generation, more or less close to the serval, its temperament and size vary. Lively, curious and very active, the Savannah is known for its energy, its agility and its attachment to its owners, provided it benefits from sufficient stimulation.

Is it an active cat?
Very: it is an athletic, curious and energetic cat that needs space, play and stimulation.
