Origin & history
The Clumber Spaniel is an English hunting spaniel, the most massive of its category, whose name comes from Clumber Park, an aristocratic estate in the county of Nottingham. Developed from the 18th century within the British nobility, it was valued for its methodical, silent work in the underbrush, where it flushed and retrieved game. Its low, heavy silhouette, its imposing head and its white coat marked with lemon or orange are its hallmarks. Calm and affectionate at home, it is a steady companion that retains good working abilities.
